Reunion Weekend 2021
All of us at Andover send our best wishes to you and your families during this extraordinary crisis that is still touching every corner of the world. As we continue to prioritize the health and safety of our community, I would like to acknowledge a series of decisions regarding alumni events. Earlier this year we shifted to virtual alumni gatherings and postponed Reunion 2020. While recent news about vaccines has been hopeful, there are still many unanswered questions about the trajectory of the pandemic and when large groups might safely gather for a celebration like reunion. Therefore, we have decided to celebrate virtually for all 2020 and 2021 reunion classes.
We will work closely with reunion volunteers to generate ideas and to deliver meaningful programming and fundraising initiatives. We are committed to offering a dynamic reunion experience for the classes ending in 0 & 5 and 1 & 6. Please take a moment to tell us what elements of your Andover reunion have been the most meaningful and are important to carry forth in a virtual experience. Submit your suggestions by clicking on the link below.
Many of you have planned and attended virtual class gatherings throughout the year. These gatherings have played an important role in keeping your class engaged and connected. Your creativity, innovation, and Big Blue spirit have been inspiring, and we look forward to harnessing that energy for our virtual reunion programming in June.
You can expect to hear more as we work with our alumni volunteers in the coming weeks. I hope we will embrace our non sibi ideal and ignite a spirit of collective generosity and kindness as we plan the best possible reunions together. This is what we all have in common as part of the Andover family, and we are incredibly grateful for each one of you.
With best wishes for your health and well-being,
Thomas P. Lockerby
Secretary of the Academy
