Announcement for 5th Reunion of Class of 2011
Hello class of 2011,
Welcome to your FIRST reunion at Andover! We are excited to have you back to campus for your 5th reunion this June 10-12!
There is a 5th Reunion group rate at The Holiday Inn in Lawrence. Please book online or call the hotel at 888-465-4329 and ask for the Phillips Academy group rate to make a reservation.
We have a fantastic reunion committee helping to plan the weekend; Linda Blanken, Teddy Drake, Kiran Gill, Gabby Kwon, Haley Scott, Joanna Wang, and Mike Wincek. There are many activities throughout the weekend; however, here are some of the highlights:
FRIDAY NIGHT, June 10
We hope you will join us Friday evening on campus for a cocktail reception in front of the Borden Gym at 6:00 p.m. The all-class dinner will be held in the Cage. We understand that it might be difficult for some of you to get to campus in time for Friday’s dinner, however, we would love to have as many of you as possible join us. The post dinner reception will be in the tent in front of GW from 8:30 – midnight. Buses will be available to and from the Holiday Inn as of 5 p.m. and will do the last run (back to Holiday Inn) at midnight.
SATURDAY, June 11
Don’t miss the alumni parade (line up in front of the Addison at 10:15 a.m.) and the “All School Meeting” at 11 a.m. in the Chapel followed by a special class of 2011 lunch on Saturday at 12:15 p.m. There is a silver bowl given to the class with the highest attendance and the 5th is always in the running and often wins!!!! Come support your class and show your class spirit! Buses will be available during the day for transportation from campus to the Holiday Inn.
Your class lunch on Saturday is at 12:15 p.m. under the large elm tree next to Day Hall. Please feel free to reach out to faculty members and invite them to join you for this special lunch. Following lunch, we will gather on the great lawn to recreate your commencement circle.
Following the class lunch, there will be a special dedication of the tennis viewing area honoring Mark Adamsson ’11 at 1:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
Take a moment to remember your classmate Alice Hoffman ’11. Classmates will gather at the memorial tree located behind Isham at 4:30 p.m.
Your dinner on Saturday night will be held in the Smith Center with the class of 2006. After dinner, there will be a DJ and dancing; the bar will close at midnight. Buses will be available to and from the Holiday Inn as of 5 pm and the last run (back to Holiday Inn) is at 1 a.m.
